Andes: 100 – One hundred square meters of rainforest

$ 100

The Andean region is one of the six natural regions of Colombia. It is located in the center of the country, bordering the Caribbean region to the north, Venezuela to the northeast, the Orinoquía to the east, the Amazon to the southeast, Ecuador to the south and the Pacific region to the west.

The rainforest in Colombia is one of the most beautiful, special and most biodiverse places on earth. It’s essential to preserve it for current and future generations, and for the fight against climate change. We do this by purchasing land with rainforest. We place the land we purchase directly under Colombia’s nature conservation law, protecting it forever from commercial exploitation.

But we go the extra mile: together with our natives rangers, we create involvement and awareness among the local population. Our ultimate goal is to protect 1,000 hectares of rainforest in the Chocó Colombia

When you adopt a square meter of rainforest, the Neotropic Foundation will give you:

A unique donation certificate with the exact coordinates of your square meter, visible via Google Earth.
Access to available information in the area that you are helping to protect.
The freedom to visit the area (depending on the load capacity of the space).

By adopting a square meter of rainforest, you are acting as a Guardian of the Planet:

You are helping to conserve biodiversity.
You are supporting the communities that live near the conservation zones.
You are playing an important role in the the creation of local jobs and the support of rainforest rangers.
